The New Polaroid

Just Us again! {Photo by Bryan}

The photo yesterday was by Elizabeth (forgot to credit her with her awesome photo taking abilities!)

Bryan thought it was totally cool to watch the photo develop right out of the camera since he had never seen one before.

I am trying to figure out how to be happy with the flash on the camera. I almost NEVER use my flash. So I am taking the new polaroid on as a challenge! I love this photo! And I’m really excited because I plan to use a lot of the polaroid photos for my December Daily this year! So I will be taking LOTS of photos to learn how to take happy polaroids again-it has been a long time. And speaking of LOTS of photos-Picture Fall starts tomorrow at Big Picture! I can’t wait! Fall is my favorite season, so I am looking forward to taking LOTS of photos.

Football-7th Grade

Confirmation-Congratulations, William!

Very sharp. You look great, William. I am so proud of you for all of the work that you went through to get to this point. Congratulations!

Confirmation-Wear Sneak Peak

Anyone who knows me knows how much I LOVE shopping…NOT! Unless it is for scrapbooking supplies or paint. Then I can shop for hours.

So, go to work, come home, pick Elizabeth up from work, come home, go to the gym…

so how do you say know to this face?

Yea…um… you don’t.

I feel like I should warn the high school girls…

So William has everything except shoes to wear on Saturday. And he looks sharp! But you can see that in the photos! I am SOOOOO looking forward to hanging out with family and celebrating some sacraments. Woot!

After the Football Game

Elizabeth is a good sister. She took the day off from work so that she could stand outside where it was sort of raining/sort of not and a little bit chilly to watch her brother play football.

Bryan had another great game. They didn’t win, but the score was only 14-6. And the other team brought 50 of their 78 players. Bryan’s team gets to play the whole game (there are only 22 of them). They play great as a team! And Bryan is doing an awesome job at Center.

(Of course, I knew he would. He is even getting his long snaps!)

And then she took both of her brother’s to Dairy Queen for treats.

The money from her first check was burning a hole in her pocket :)

Blast From the Past

My honey with his brothers and sisters. From shortest to tallest: Chris, Butch, Sheryl, Don, and Jenean. But check out what happens if I do this:

Look at that! Comparing William and Butch. One thing jumps right out at me. Those eyes that are so full of mischief. And they use it to their full advantage :) I love that in the Black and White photo you can’t tell that Butch’s eyes are blue, so the two of them look even more alike. They have the same chin, the same ears, and the same blond hair (although William’s has gone super brown, more like mine.

And then of course the photo from couple of weeks ago:

As blurry as it is, you can still see the resemblance in the eyes and the chin. William does a pretty good job of covering up the ears.

so. Sweet. Thanks for the photos, Granny. Even though it took me nearly 3 months to get one of them scanned. I have been thinking about them.

Painting

I don’t have a lot of photos of me “doing” anything. Usually, I’m the one taking the photos of people “doing” things. Other people don’t tend to think about taking photos like that. So I usually have to ask someone to take the photos. And this time, William was the lucky one. He takes great photos.

Bryan and I have been working on our joint painting all week (trying to finish it for the weekend).

I actually didn’t take any photos of Bryan working on the painting. I have totally enjoyed working with him and teaching him new techniques.

This is what the painting looks like right now. I’m not sure if we’re done yet, but it probably won’t change a lot.

The inspiration for this painting came from a painting that I am almost positive I saw on Kelly Rae’s blog here, although I couldn’t find the actual post…but I’m sure that is where I saw it.
