Ralph and The New Couch

Ali Edwards Freebie Template available on Ali's blog here. The "Capturing the Moments of Life" brush was also a freebie on Ali's blog available here.
I have been focusing a LOT on Ralph this week. He has such a great personality! I LOVE these photos that I took when we got our new couches. He looks great in Bryan's Bears hat. Ali had this free template on her blog today as part of a feature that she has been doing this week. The page went together in less than an hour! Which is good because I didn't have much more than an hour:) Happy Friday! Go Jets!

Ralph 2010-And the new couch

Ralph is such a sweet dog.

On Friday, when Bill was taking down the couches, the dogs were shaken. No-they were visibly ticked off. Where were they going to lay down? How were they going to nap? And they we brought the new ones in. And all 5 of us sat down on them. And the dogs were really pissed. So on Monday morning, as I was heading out the door, I saw that all 3 dogs had a spot on one of the couches. Pudge in one corner, Tigger in the other corner of the couch. And Ralph took the loveseat (being that he is the largest dog.)

Enjoying the loveseat when no one is sitting there

The dogs obviously love Mondays much more than the rest of us. Because they get their furniture all to themselves. Hope everyone has a fantastic Monday. Elizabeth was pretty excited about the Jets' win over the Chargers last night! Go Jets!

Random Dog Pics

Pudge is enjoying the new accent rug.
Tigger looks festive in her red collar.

I don't remember who had what here, but boy are the dogs interested in getting some of it!
Happy Tuesday! I'll post more tomorrow night!

December Daily Day 7

Template by Ali Edwards for Designer Digitals, Font-1942 report

Sometimes, digital pages are just so much faster than trying to complete a hybrid page. I decided to make this one a digital. Love the way these photos turned out using the 50 mm, 1.8 lens on the camera. I love the depth of field. I wish I used this lens more often-I get great portrait photos with it. Happy Wednesday again!

December Daily 2009 {SneakPeak} + Ralph

Yes, Ralph. You are a shoe eater. But at least you seem to realize which shoes I only wear because I paid money for them, even though I don't really like them and they are uncomfortable. And for that-I thank you. Thank you very much. You are very sweet and snuggly anyway.

So next-on with the December Daily sneak peak. I took these photos over the weekend (when there was a little bit of sunlight coming through the window:) I have made a few changes since then, so I will take more photos over the weekend and post more next week.

The overlay on the photos is a combination of these: font: Edwardian Script. overlays: Katie Pertiet: KPertiet_OntheInsideFramesNo2-2a,Rhonna Farrer: dwd_rhonna_cabaret_overlay_photoEdgeE, RhonnaFarrer_2ps_PhotoEdge2, RhonnaFarrer_2ps_PolaroidTransfer1

Love this transparency with the white dots. I think I may have used the rest of it in last year's December Daily.

Ali Edwards has her December Daily blogged here. The trick to the December Daily album is letting go. Embrace imperfection. Don't dwell on the decoration-just put it together-before December. Then work with what you have created during the month of December. But don't spend too much time on it. Spend your time celebrating and being present. {Which is sometimes really hard when you're a Mom!}
More coming next week!
Happy Thursday!

In the Studio...December Daily Prep

December Daily pieces. I haven't decided exactly what I want to do, but I am gathering pieces that I think I want to use.
It's been a long time since I did an "in the studio" post, so here it is! I have been slowly working on my December Daily pages-just sort of milling around, looking at last year's posts, looking at what I have, looking at what I may want to do.

I've been gathering chipboard stars and covering them with silver German glass glitter.

While I was laying things out on my desk, I saw that I had a metal "Believe" word in a package of metal words that I bought at the beginning of the year. Perfect for a Christmas theme...One of the things that I am DEFINITELY trying to do is to use what I already have. I ordered a few Christmas themed papers, but that is about it.

I will be soooo glad when football practice is over...no time...and I got distracted with the stuff that I was working on in the studio and started taking photos of the puppies instead. Here is Ralph in our bed.

Here is Pudge sacked out in our bed.

And here is Tigger sacked out on the floor.
Have a great Thursday. I will be having another great Thursday...since I thought most of the day today was Thursday instead of Wednesday...Oh well...Happy Day anyway!

Totally Random Thursday

Self Portrait

It's Wednesday and I've already worked almost 40 hours. And there is no end in sight. So-to go along with the totally random nature of my thoughts right now...I am sharing totally random photos. Some were found...some were just taken. Enjoy and have a great "Popcorn Thursday!"

My sister, Sarah, playing in the chemicals under the sink....Dad must have been babysitting...heh heh...well-clearly I was babysitting since I probably took the photo...well, anyway...

Speaking of Dad, here he is in my Snoopy hat.

Ralph!!!!
I love Ralph. He is my pal. He sleeps on the floor next to my side of the bed for part of the night. Then he wanders around to different parts of the house-wherever he thinks he can protect the best. And in the morning after I hit the snooze button for the first time, he climbs into bed with me. Whether there is room or not. And Tigger growls at him. Ralph snarls back. And we sleep a little while longer.

Fall is coming...I love Fall! I saw this white pumpkin on Sunday at Walmart and decided to blow the 6 bucks for it.

Pudge!
Pudgy is so sweet and pretty! She loves to jump up in your lap while you are watching tv and get some pets.
Happy Thursday!
