Merry Christmas! Dec {25}

Merry Christmas! The album is finished! Am I putting anything on the back of the photo? No. I will probably journal about the gifts that we all received, but that will be all. I love documenting the season, but by the 25th I am ready to start working on other projects. Have a very Merry Christmas!

Dec {24}

I love the curves on this Making Memories paper, but I just haven't had the time to put anything on the back of either one of them! Maybe next year!

Day {23}

I had a ton of fun with the photobooth pictures! I use a photobooth frame from Katie Pertiet to house a set of pictures that my husband and I took while waiting in the car for our son's awards ceremony to start. I set the timer to take 10 photos in a row, then choose my favorite 5!

Day {22}

I wrote directly on the photo: "Nice kick, Robbie (Robbie Gould, the kicker for the Bears). Thanks!" His field goal won the game for us against the Green Bay Packers in overtime on Monday night. One more game to go and a bunch of other stuff has to happen to get us in the playoffs this year!

Day {21}

Bryan and I making Snickerdoodles for Science club. Yum! I had a lot of resistance about taking most of them to science club rather than leaving them at home for kids and Dad to eat! {Thanks for taking the pics, Elizabeth! }

Day {20} Brrr!

Okay, now I have got to draw the line when the HIGH temperature for the day is -5F.
Yes, MINUS 5 DEGREES! I cannot get warm, no matter what part of the house I am in! Baby it's COLD Outside! This layout is based on Cathy Zielske's week 7 sketch 1 for the "Design Your Life" class.

Day {19} Snow Day!

Day {18}

Apparently, Bryan decided to put flour all over his face and take a photo while I was at work and he was home because of the snow. Do not ask me...it sure makes for an interesting page though, huh?

Day {17-Continued}

The original photo of us drinking eggnog is in the envelope. I decided not to print the 12x12 layout, although I usually resize them to 8x8 and then print it on my printer at home.

Sneak Peak for Sarah

Sneak peak at the organizer that I created for my sister (that she requested when she saw my Christmas organizer). Got the instructions from Janet Hopkins Etsy Shop. Decided to catch up on my online classes tonight instead of working on the December Daily. Have a great Friday!

Day {17} Egg Nog

Probably should have added a shadow around the edge of the page to define the layout. Oh well...sometimes you just have to be happy with the way a layout looks and not stress about anything else. Merry Wednesday!

Day {16} Let it Snow!

Okay, the snow picture looked great in Photoshop. Then I printed it and it looked way too dark. I think I need to learn some new techniques. And work on my white balance...But I was SOOO excited because (even though you can't see it here) I got a really cool shot of a snowflake!

Day {15}

The Heidi Swapp clock with a photo cut to match is a total and utter SCRAPLIFT! from Ali Edwards' page for day 14. It was a great idea! And I knew exactly which photo I would use for it. I had taken the photo of Bryan and Ralph about a week ago and this was the perfect use for it. Thanks for looking and STAY WARM!!!! I am so excited because we are supposed to get 3-6 inches of snow Tuesday night! Yay-drive safe!

Day {14}

Wrapping presents!!

Day {13}

Even teenagers can get along during the holiday season-it is truly peace on earth this week...
Also-one more dog wearing reindeer antlers.

I finally have a scanner!!

I am soooo excited! I have been talking about buying a scanner for years-and I've had my eye on that Epson V5oo since last Christmas. And I finally decided it was time to have it. And you know what? I LOVE it! Do you see this picture? Me-1976! Yes, I used to be quite the daredevil before becoming a serious engineer...I can't wait to do some scrapbooking with some of these photos!!

Day {12}

Oops...forgot the back of the day 11 photo! That would be me with the Chicago Bears santa hat on, taking my photo in the bathroom mirror...

The brushes on the cardinal photo are from Holiday Word Art by Ali Edwards on designerdigitals.com.

Day {11}

I love getting photos of our puppies with the kids. All 3 dogs are such a huge part of our lives and go almost everywhere with us.

Day {10}

I was totally inspired by the photos that Ali Edwards took of her husband and son doing homework that I was quick to grab the camera when I caught my daughter helping my son with fractions the other night. The brush at the bottom of that photo is from designerdigitals.com, Ali Edwards' line. I think that particular brush is from Holiday word art.

Day 9 - Inside the Envelope

From Day {9}

I took the picture with my bedroom window open so that I could zoom in as close as I could on trees to get the detail of the ice on the branches. These trees are gorgeous this year! The pocket holds a photo of Tigger wearing the reindeer ears and William asleep with the Santa hat on...he he...

Day {12} - From Day 8

I love pictures of the snow falling taken from inside my house! (It's also a good time to clean smudges from dog noses off of the windows!) All of the digital elements are from Ali Edwards' designerdigitals.com line of supplies. I am really enjoying using 12x12 digital templates and then changing the size to 8x8 so that I can print them at home and pop them in my daily album!

December {11}

Happy Thursday! I love this picture of William with the heartshape cookie cutter framing the photo. Merry 11th! Have a great day!
(The phrase is designerdigitals.com-Ali Edwards-Holiday word art. The snowflake is a brush from Nancy Rowe Janitz-Joyeux Noel.)

Day {9}

We have been watching LOTS of Christmas favorites this week. Tonight we are watching Mickey's Christmas Carol. (Followed by the Dark Knight-which we didn't have a chance to see in theaters and my 13 year old son has never forgiven me for...) Have a great Wednesday!
(The brushes are from Nancy Rowe Janitz-Joyeux Noel-from Scrapartist.com.)

There was a sliver of sunlight! Dec {7}

Visual proof that the sun came out on Sunday morning in Iowa! (Brushes/overlays are from Ali Edwards on designerdigitals.com, font is 1942 report.)
