William’s Bday-Take 2

IMG_8019

Making Sirloin on the Grill. Yum.

IMG_8026

I asked for a photo of me…nothing is ever easy…

IMG_8029

I think this is my first Angel Food Cake. I even found a pan hidden in my cupboards that I’m pretty sure I bought at a garage sale. So I obviously intended to make one at some point. That’s funny because Angel Food Cake is my favorite cake and it is really sooo easy!

William is surveying the sirloin and the cake making to make sure everything is going as planned.

This has been Bryan lately-attached to the telephone.

Ready to eat his steak.

I love that you are a milk drinker! I was a huge milk drinker when I was young.

Elizabeth hanging out too.

This was his early Birthday present. He got it the day that it came out (May 18th).

IMG_8074

We had so many things to say about this card from Mom.

IMG_8075

This was actually NOT one of those things.

This is the present for today. He also got season 3 from Amazon today.

Hopefully my post will work-I have a LOT of photos here-so I will upload another set.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend! I am looking forward to some time off to enjoy the sunshine! I am also planning a trip to the antique store to see if I can find some supplies for a new apron for Sari! Happy Friday!

Happy Birthday To Me

My birthday present came today!

I have been wanting to order this since last year. I almost got it for my birthday last year, but I changed my mind-didn't want to spend too much. And now I have it. I love it! It is just big enough for everyone's names. And the "aware" charm is my "one word" for 2010... and a nice reminder to be more aware. Have a great Wednesday!

One Word: 2010

My word for 2010: Aware. I want to become more aware, more mindful, of everything around me. I don't want to go through the motions of my life. I want to be aware of everything. Some people create scrapbook pages of their word. I decided to create a canvas of my word. It's not quite done (thus the big blank tag....) but I am happy to have chosen a word.
The beautiful orange roses that Elizabeth got me for my birthday. (She also bought me a gift card for the Outback...which I will use to take my honey out to dinner very soon...)

And this is what I did after work on my birthday. I went to Barnes & Noble...and spent all of my gift card and most of my birthday money on inspirational (expensive) magazines and a new spiral journal. I also got the mini "tartlette" molds that I ordered from littlebyrdvintage on etsy. Love them-I can't wait to make something with them. (Like ornaments!!!). Happy Birthday to me-thanks for all of the well wishes. And yes-I even sent a text or two today with my outdated phone.... Go Hawks!

Birthday Celebration

Happy Birthday to Me (or it will be soon!) I absolutely love cheesecake. Patricia made this one. Mmmmmmmm. And Mom made a pineapple upside down cake. Mmmmmmmm. What more can I say?

A happy face. I am clearly thinking about digging into that cheesecake. Nice photo, honey.
A laughing face on Mom. Also difficult to catch. Nice photo again, honey.

Boys playing Mario Kart. I bought the red tulips. I needed fresh flowers.

For Mom-here is the tablecloth that I bought at Target after Christmas. It would look great if the leaf was in. (I like it anyway). And a very obvious look at why we will be working on the hardwood floors this summer :)

William with his IPOD.

I love to take photos of the farms in the sunset on the way home from Illinois. Especially when it is rediculously cold and the sun is setting. Beautiful! Welcome back! Happy Monday!

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Happy Birthday, Mom! I loaded the photos backwards because I was in a hurry to load them before work. Haste makes waste...
Anyway-I love you Mom! Hope you have a great day. I had a great weekend-wish we could have stayed longer. Happy Tuesday!

Saturday-Celebrating 43 years

Happy Early Birthday, Daddy!
We celebrated Daddy's birthday on Saturday because his birthday is on Thursday. And he works all day Thursday...and we have a football scrimmage...and a meeting that we'll probably miss after that...but you get my point. We're really busy, so we celebrated early:)
"What is it?" you ask. An autographed Jim Kelly helmet. Sweet! I was so excited when I found it. And he was a bit surprised. It was awesome!
And an autographed Jim Kelly photo...

And I made him cook his own ribeye...

Here is a close-up of the helmet in better light.

And here it is in it's final resting place...right next to the autographed Devin Hester helmet. And Bryan's football photo.

Elizabeth didn't make the party, but she was here all day on Sunday. We shopped at Michael's and we hung out and watched "Better Off Dead" and "Say Anything" with John Cusack. It was good times....

Bryan had a good time hanging out at Treyton's Aunt's house on Sunday night.

And these are the sweet Mums that Paul and Deborah gave me for taking their photos on Saturday. I did move them to a "full sun" location on Monday. They are absolutely gorgeous! Thanks, guys! Have a great week-happy Wednesday!
