Football Sunday!

Here we are...before the game...when we were still smiling. I may actually put this photo in my December Daily album. Football is a huge part of how we celebrate December, and Nov. 29 is very close to Dec 1. Right?
And speaking of December Daily, last night I put all of my stuff in a big enamelware bowl that I bought on my last trip to the antique store. I am soooo ready to start working on it! Tonight I am working on my "Day in the Life" project for Week 9 of Ali's class. Hope to post soon! Have a great Tuesday!

Family Photos

Here are some of my favorite photos from our Family Thanksgiving. This one turned out great-I love it! (Nice work by my husband taking this photo). Elizabeth seems to be missing though!
Family Photo-2009

Sarah wanted a photo of brother and sisters-great idea! These turned out great!

And some action shots of the boys playing catch with the football.

We had a great time spending time with family over the holiday weekend.
Happy Monday!

My Nap, AKA My Turkey Induced Coma

Here it is...my nap. Yes, that would be my foot laying across my husband on my Mom's couch. Buried beneath a pile of dogs. {I guess this might be what they call a "dog pile".} My brother took some great shots of my dogs snuggling up with me on the couch after the awesome and massive thanksgiving dinner that we ate on Friday! And it was sooooo worth it!

Evidence that it is indeed me-minus the glasses. It was very comfy. Sorry about leaving you with the dishes, Mom...Happy After-Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving greetings from Bryan & Elizabeth. I couldn't have said it better myself. Have a great holiday!

{At least her brothers made the list ahead of the dogs.}

Thankful-November 22

Thankful for my husband and all that he does for us everyday.
The love is overflowing in our house this time of year. My husband wrote this on the sliding door on Friday morning when I was leaving for work. I asked him to take a photo for me. (He is so sweet :)
I found this heart-shape in the mudroom just a couple days before that. I ran to take a photo!
I would be really thankful if the Bears could win tonight.
We shall see....
Happy Monday!

Project 365-October

I finally finshed my October Project 365 calendar (template by Ali Edwards.) I love these calendars. I love using random photos from the month and collecting them all right here. It makes it much easier to go back and figure out which date the photo is stored in too! Have a great Saturday!

Thankful for Ali Edward's Yesterday & Today class and the opportunity she gives us to think.
To think about our lives and to become more mindful of our everyday. Thanks, Ali!
Thankful that I can do both a digital and a paper version of this layout.

Happy Friday! Hope it's a good one!

Thankful-Nov 19

I really can't disagree with his thoughts here. I think he included all of the most important things here. (Love that the trumpet is the largest on the sheet!) He includes family, friends, school, and football. Is there anything else? Love it-way to go, Bryan!

Thankful for Religious Ed teachers. (and their photos). This photo was taken on a night when Bryan took his trumpet to Religious Ed. Love that they took photos and he got to bring home a copy!

It cannot be easy to teach religion to kids who more than likely wish they weren't there. Bryan goes. He tries to beg off...but he goes. I have heard all of the old arguments. Actually-it's funny because his arguments are all the exact same ones that Elizabeth used at that age. And she tells Bryan this. "That doesn't work, " she says. "I already tried that with Mommy-she doesn't care...." It is nice to have someone in my corner once in a while:)

Happy Thursday!

Thankful-Nov 16

Based on a project by Ali Edwards using Martha Stewart's butterfly punch found here.

Thankful for people smarter than me with great ideas.

Thankful that Bryan didn't electrocute himself when he put a knife in the toaster.
Thankful that half of the toaster still works.
Thankful that Ralph hasn't gotten a hold of the loaf of bread. We go through a lot of toast.

Thankful that Elizabeth's eye infection is clearing up.
Thankful that I don't pay for her cell phone.

Thankful that William smiled for a photo.

Thankful for soup in a pouch (that only takes 20 minutes, but tastes like it took a lot longer).
Thankful for Mondays at work when things go right.
I am so excited for Thanksgiving! Looking forward to spending time with family. And shopping. And taking photos.
Have a great Tuesday!

Thankful-Nov 15

Thankful for paint, and glitter, and gesso, and buttons, and gel medium. Hope everyone had a great weekend...I sure did!

Scraplift-November

Scraplift: Ali Edwards from page 91 of Creating Keepsakes. I happened to have the divided 12x12 protector because it was on the supply list for her Yesterday an Today class. I already had the "August" month brush and the "today" journaling card from Ali Edwards for designerdigitals.com.

I was sort of a scrapbooking maniac Friday night and Saturday. It was quiet and I actually got the computer without anyone else asking me to use it. It was very relaxing and fun.
The journaling is written in list form and reads:
1. A family tradition. Every year we play golf for Jakey's birthday. Every year Butch wins. Every single year. 2. This year I joined a league at work. I played several times (maybe 6) over the course of the summer. He still kicked my ass. But my putts were better this year :) 3. We have fun anyway. 4. Every year our photos get better. 5. I LOVE spending time with my brother and sister. 6. I love celebrating Jake's birthday every year. 7. Sometimes we let people play through. 8. I hate the dog leg on the 8th hole. 9. I love playing for 9 holes. 18 holes....not so much. 10. Every year we get sunburned. 11. We started driving together a couple of years ago. 12. We all play a pretty close game...except for Butch...who always wins. 13. I can't think of any other way that I would like to spend a Saturday in August!
This page was super easy to put together. I used photos that were sitting on my kitchen table that I had gotten from Mom, and only printed out one other photo. Have a great day-Happy Scrapping!

Thankful for a really quiet morning with the kids spending the night elsewhere.
Thankful for being able to complete some journaling.
Thankful to have free time to work on digital pages and complete some assignments for my “fun” classes.
Thankful that everyone is healthy so far this year.
Thankful that I have tons of photos from when I was little.
Thankful for my family-both immediate and extended.
Thankful that the sun is shining and I don’t have to work today.
...and just like that...the dogs are barking and the quiet is over...Happy Saturday!

Baptism Memories 2000

We went to Mass this evening at St. Patrick's where William's class planned mass was held. {William was a greeter.} During the mass, we got to witness a little girl's baptism and it totally reminded me of when the kids were baptized at St. Thomas. They were so small!
Look at how handsome the boys are! And Kate is wearing a skirt!

I'm surprised that we trusted the kids to hold their own candles. Their baptism was held in the gym because St. Thomas was going through a remodel.

We had the baptism over the Thanksgiving holiday, so a lot of our family was able to attend.

I really enjoyed the mass. Father Thompson does a good job with the children's mass. Everything was fine until we got to the closing hymn. "We're going to see the king." All I could think of was, "Twins, Bazzill. We're going to see the twins!" A-thank you! Have a great Thursday!

This is a 2-post night-I have a lot to say! First, I want to express my gratitude for all of the veteran's. To the ones I have known and loved. And the ones that I have never met who are fighting for our freedom right now. You are appreciated. Thank you.
