If I was going to claim any one serious scrapbook related addiction right now-it is anything and EVERYTHING TIM HOLTZ. I can’t stop buying it and I can’t stop creating with it. I had to do one more Christmas project before the season was completely over. I put this box together this past weekend and I LOVE how it turned out. Mom got me the Configurations box at a little antique store in Washington Illinois that had an area full of TIM HOLTZ stuff when we were shopping the Saturday after Thanksgiving!!!
I followed a lot of the ideas that Tim showed in his videos here. The timing couldn’t have been better for his videos because I just happened to have everything that I needed already on hand. The trees were from a different antique shop that we visited the same weekend. The outer shell and the inside of the boxes is covered with tissue tape. Inside the boxes is Christmas paper from his holiday papers. I glued down the papers with Golden Gel Medium. It was super fast and easy.
I used glue dots to hold everything down inside the Configurations box and for the metal feet as well (aren’t these the coolest thing!)
The bird fell off on Sunday morning, so I glued him back on with glossy accents and he hasn’t moved.
Seriously-these feet are awesome. And I have another box to put together, so I will be needing another set of 4 for the next one.
The letters are from the Girls Paperie Tinsel and Twig collection. I added some walnut distress ink to make them look a little older.
I didn’t glue down the battery operated candle because I wanted to be able to turn it on.
I don’t remember where the star came from, but I covered it with some Christmas sheet music and added some stickles around the edges.
I love how it turned out.
Just one more Merry wish before I put the last of the holiday decorations away.
Merry Tuesday!
