Driver's License Update

Finally! She got it!

Here is the story: Elizabeth had called me while I was in the lab at work. I saw the missed call and noticed that my car was back in it's parking place at work. I called her back. "I didn't get it." She said, "I missed it by one point. We're going to go back Friday." "Awww...it's okay...you'll get it tomorrow, " I said. I was starting to get a little ticked off at the women at the DMV.

When I got home, Elizabeth came up and said, "See what they did to my permit....they put "intermediate driver's license" on it!!!" Which means that she passed the driver's test and she actually got her license. What a butthead!"

Congratulations, Elizabeth! I knew you could do it!

Even Bryan was excited about Elizabeth's driver's license!

Almost Twins

Totally loving the tie-dye shirt that Elizabeth made with a friend that was part of the huge purchase of "Summer Projects" that we made a while back. So glad it was put to good use. They did a great job creating them!

So you'll see that while I love the color of the shirt, I also knew that it was SO colorful that de-saturating it wouldn't detract from adorable Elizabeth. Using Photoshop Elements 6.0, I desaturated the photo, cropped it, and then colorized the photo slightly, giving it a bit of a sepia tone. I chose not to colorize her cheeks. I totally love the result! Miss you Elizabeth! Looking forward to you coming home soon!

Driver's License Update

Okay-last night's uploading and playing around with Photoshop Elements kept me busy all night last night. So tonight....no photo-just a quick update. We got to the DMV around 3:00. Guess what? The loser in front of us got the last DRIVE TIME!!!! So she may not get it until Tuesday. We shall have to see...Time for brownie cake from Dairy Queen! Happy Birthday, Elizabeth-maybe next time.
