Blast from the Past

8th grade graduation
{Am I not just the COOLEST? Please don't answer that.}

I didn't have time to post the digital scrapbook page post that I wanted to post, so I will leave you with this instead. Sorry. Happy Wednesday!

Blast from the Past

I was looking for a specific photo of William and Elizabeth (I think I'm going to have to pull the actual photo-I didn't have it in my scans) and I ran across this one of my husband and my brother. Aren't they both cute?
And then I ran across this one. Circa~1988. Loved Guns N Roses! And check out that gorgeous Bergan uniform hanging on the wall in the upper right corner of the photo. Nice. Don't miss those uniforms AT ALL.
Have a great Tuesday!

Blast From the Past-Random Years-Edited

I scanned in some old photos in my "free" time this weekend. I LOVE old photos. They tell a beautiful story. Even when I don't know the story. Like the photo above. I didn't ever meet John and Nellie. I know very little about them, except that I think John was from Germany and Nellie was from Ireland (I think off the potato boat, but that could have been before her.) I know that they are responsible for all of the farmland that I grew up on. I know that I am very thankful for that too! I know that their lives could NOT have been easy at times. I love her hair! I wonder if that was the ONLY time that she had it done like that. I know that all of their children were born in the bedroom off the living room at Grandma's old house. (Can you imagine?) I love old photos...did I mention that?

Mom and Tom playing in the snow. I love seeing the old cars in the background almost as much as I love the people.

Mom in this poodle skirt is absolutely adorable! And I love her hair!

Loving those cowboy hats on Grandpa and Tom!

No blast from the past would be complete without a "Goofy" photo of me...
Happy Tuesday!

Blast From the Past-Women in our Family

Grandma and her sisters-Katherine, Lula, and Darlene. If anyone knows who the little girl is-let me know! The original photo is in color-which I loved, but I decided to give it a bit of a sepia tone for more of a timeless look. Because there are some REALLY 70s looking colors going on in this photo:) Happy Tuesday!

Blast from the Past-1999 and 2001

2001-Bryan's Birthday
I love the face that William is making.
1999: William's Birthday.
These 2 are so cute!

1999: Bryan is holding the magic wand. I love Elizabeth's long, beautiful hair!
Happy Saturday!

Blast from the Past

I found the photo of Grandma and Sarah and I in the box of photos that I brought home from Mom's that I am supposed to be scanning onto my computer to create a CD for. {So far I have scanned 2 photos and organized about 1/4 of the box.} Anyway-I loved that I was holding Sarah and of course the bandana is very interesting and the bow says a lot. As you can see Sarah and I still love hanging out together. And I still like to wear brown stuff on my head....Have a great Monday!

Camping Memories-Blast From the Past

So as long as I'm reliving camping memories....I remembered that there were some photos of camping in Missouri when I was a little girl. It is quite possibly the ONLY time I went tent camping until 2001. I also wanted to share what a joy removing these photos from the album were. The polaroids have mostly all been removed from their albums because they are happy to be pulled out of the magnetic albums. These guys-not so much. I ended up putting the album in the freezer for about 10 minutes which is just long enough to de-gum the adhesive so that I can remove photos. However-they still put up a fight and I only have about 10 minutes to remove photos before I have to put the album back in the freezer and start the process again.

These photos were taken by my Mom in 1975 when we went camping in the Ozarks and Six Flags. Good times! Enjoy-and happy Monday!

I love that 30-some years later, we still have an orange tent!

I LOVE that I am getting cleaned up using baby wipes! I'm sure my feet were looking great at this point!
