Keeping it Together

IMG_5703_edit

A little nervous about Elizabeth’s graduation next week.  But I’m keeping it together.

IMG_5702_edit

Lots of texting tonight with Mom.  That always helps.

IMG_5712_edit

and one or 2 of these.

IMG_5714_edit

The perfect margarita.  Made by my husband.

He knows me.

I know what we are going to eat next Saturday.  And that is more than I knew earlier today. Baby Steps Open-mouthed smile

And I am actually getting really excited-especially to see all of our family!

Happy Thursday!

Crabapple Tree Blossoms

IMG_5320

I meant to post these a couple weeks ago.

IMG_5321

It always amazes me how quickly the blossoms come and go.

IMG_5322

They are so beautiful.

IMG_5299

Too bad I forgot to take photos of the tree with an actual person standing in front of it.

IMG_5319

They are really pretty anyway Smile

Happy Wednesday!

Time for Bed

IMG_5665

2 hours at this awards ceremony tonight.

IMG_5677

For this kid.  We are so proud of her.  And I am feeling kind of old.

IMG_5592

Saturday night.

IMG_5596

Cooking burgers on the grill in the rain.

IMG_5607

And Pudge sleeping on my stairs-which is what I am going to do right now.

Happy Tuesday!

Mr. Squeakers

IMG_5641

On Sunday, Bryan and I made a maze for Mr. Squeakers, Bryan’s new hamster.

IMG_5642

Oh look…it’s a REAL smile from Bryan instead of the ones that he usually gives me.

IMG_5646

Mr. Squeakers didn’t have much trouble making it through the maze.  But he wasn’t really interested in his treat at the end.  He was having fun, so he learned how to climb over the walls.  Cheater.

IMG_5640

He is cute though.

IMG_5650

Even William enjoyed watching him.

Happy Monday!

Around Here-May 2011

IMG_5522

The lilacs are blooming!

IMG_5521

IMG_5532_edit

We have been drinking margaritas!

IMG_5549

And taking photos!

IMG_5552

Finally got around to getting copies of the boys’ birth certificates.  So William can get his driver’s permit.  Um…Yeah…

IMG_5556

This kid finally started working on invitations for graduation-you can tell how thrilled she is.  Hoping to get them out on Saturday…

And I finally finally got all of my scrapbook stuff out of the living room (mostly) and back up to the studio now that it is warm enough to work up there. Actually it is now TOO HOT to work up there, so my hubby put the A/C in so that we can sleep.

Also-the de-cluttering for graduation has begun.  May God help me make it through the rest of this month…

Happy Friday!

Mother’s Day 2011

IMG_5412

I didn’t do much on Sunday morning.  I woke up at 6:30 and laid around in bed reading and journaling.  Then I got yelled at for coming downstairs.

Then I got my breakfast in bed.

IMG_5413

Made by this guy.  {which caused a giant commotion and much anger by one-seven.}

IMG_5467

That’s when Bryan went outside and mowed the backyard.

Good boy.

IMG_5434

I took some more photos of the crabapple tree before the blooms were gone.

IMG_5437

I love this tree during this time of the year-the rest of the year it’s kind of ugly.

IMG_5459

The purple lilacs hadn’t quite started to bloom yet.

IMG_5359

This kid wouldn’t say happy mother’s day.

Brat.

IMG_5475

This one finally calmed down about the scrambled eggs.

IMG_5476

Ralph was just excited that there was lots of laying around in bed on Sunday.  He loves snuggling.

IMG_5481

Woot!  Season 3 of the Big Bang Theory from Elizabeth!  I am almost caught up to my Mom and sisters Smile

IMG_5482

Best. Mother’s. Day. Present. Ever.

IMG_5484

Wait-I was wrong.  Handmade cards from Elizabeth are the best present ever.

IMG_5486

Along with snuggling on the bed with my puppy.

IMG_5489

and perfect ribeye.

IMG_5493

Made by this guy.  Who makes it all worth while.

IMG_5494

This is one of the many messages that showed up on the Fridge on Sunday.  This is one of the nicer ones.

IMG_5499

These are the flowers that I bought myself on Friday at Walmart.

{Love fresh flowers}

I can’t wait for zinnias.

Happy Thursday!

National Scrapbook Day-2011

IMG_5386

For NSD, I read through a lot of challenges, but I only participated in a handful of them.

Challenge #1: Sewing Area-Before

IMG_5399

Challenge #1: Sewing Area-After

I found these awesome floral storage containers at Walmart clearanced for $3.40 each, so I bought 5-perfect for brightening up the studio.

IMG_5400

Challenge #1: Sewing Area-After

IMG_5389_crop

I don’t think this one was a challenge-the layout itself was based on a layout that May Flaum did for Camp Scrap last summer.  This is one of the layouts that will go in Elizabeth’s graduation album.

IMG_5398_Crop

I think this was a Studio Calico challenge-to use orange and turquoise (I think the challenge also used lime green, but I didn’t have any lime green).  This layout will also go in the graduation album.

\IMG_5487_crop

This layout was originally supposed to be Stacy Julian’s challenge to scrapbook someone you love using 10 products, 10 techniques, and 10 of something else that is escaping me right now.  But I got bored with that (too many requirements) and I ran across the text on the top photo that I had downloaded from Claudine Hellmuth’s text challenge that says, “I’m afraid he needs a lot of help.”  Enough said.  Perfect for this guys and his layout.

Have a great Wednesday!
