More Scraplifting...

Just a quick post this morning while William and Bryan finish getting ready for school. I had time Monday night for a quick scraplift using this photo of Grandma Lewis and Mazie and Ellen (Grandpa's sisters). I used the layout of Ali Edwards' Yesterday and Today class information and a photo mask of hers from designerdigitals.com. I'm really looking forward to her class (it starts Thursday!) and hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

10 Things

I love this 10 things layout template from Ali Edwards that is available here. I scraplifted the whole thing, except some of the colors (and of course the photo). I loved the polka-dotted paper. Have a great day!

Latest 12x12 Scraplifts

I have been scrapbooking like crazy lately. A little digital, a little hybrid, a little paper. I was totally inspired by the latest Creating Keepsakes magazine. This layout of Bryan's 5th grade "graduation" was inspired by the "I love to Bake" layout on page 56.

The above layout is a scraplift from the "3+1=4" layout by Ali Edwards on page 47.

This page has absolutely no journaling. It should have. I haven't gotten to that part yet. It is also a scraplift of one of Ali's layouts in her column about including stitching on layouts on page 64.

I bought this paper at Scrapadoodle in Peoria. I was hording it until I took these photos of Sarah and Elizabeth. I knew immediately what paper I would use! Also no journaling...

This page was totally inpsired by the "Generations" layout on page 67, although it's kind of hard to see the wavy line stitching through the hearts and the trim at the bottom! I thought it was a great idea to do a layout with Mother and daughter both as little baby girls.
Hope you're having a great week. Happy Tuesday!

UNI Dome: Jayhawks 22, Warriors 21

On Thursday, I got a phone call from the coach's wife. Would Bryan be able to play at the UNI-Dome tonight? Would we be able to drive? You bet!
The boys didn't really have a handle on what they were doing exactly. All they knew was that they were playing a scrimmage. And that if they lost it didn't count. But if they won, it did count :) Once they got inside...

...they had a much better understanding of what was going on. And they thought it was "pretty awesome, but the astroturf hurts, " according to Bryan.

The lighting was horrible. I took a huge number of photos just to get a handful that turned out. As long as no one was moving, the photos were fine. Finally I figured out that there were really bright lights right over the 50 yard line, so most of my photos were taken around that point.

Daddy ate the leftover popcorn that I had in the car from "Popcorn Day" at work while the boys warmed up.

We got to go down on the field to take photos when our team's names were called, but they were on the other side of the field, so the picture wasn't great.

They had officials and even announcers for the game. That was pretty sweet. Because Bryan got a sack right at the beginning of the game, so he got his name called.

Us in the stands - totally enjoying the game.

We could spot Bryan from a mile away with the orange Bears t-shirt sticking out of his jersey.

Not a single fumble from our center - sweet!

Great Defense!

And the best part...Bryan got to play on the 4th quarter team.
They were down 21-8 at one point in the fourth quarter. But they came back and the extra point (which is actually worth 2 points) was good! Way to go Jayhawks!

J-Hawks get the win!

It was a pretty happy ride home for Bryan and 2 of his team members. One of the team members had an interception in the last 40 seconds of the game when the other team was trying to come back. It was a pretty sweet play. We had a great time at the game and it is something that the boys will never forget. Nice work, Bryan. Maybe we can see you play here again someday!

Totally Random Thursday

Self Portrait

It's Wednesday and I've already worked almost 40 hours. And there is no end in sight. So-to go along with the totally random nature of my thoughts right now...I am sharing totally random photos. Some were found...some were just taken. Enjoy and have a great "Popcorn Thursday!"

My sister, Sarah, playing in the chemicals under the sink....Dad must have been babysitting...heh heh...well-clearly I was babysitting since I probably took the photo...well, anyway...

Speaking of Dad, here he is in my Snoopy hat.

Ralph!!!!
I love Ralph. He is my pal. He sleeps on the floor next to my side of the bed for part of the night. Then he wanders around to different parts of the house-wherever he thinks he can protect the best. And in the morning after I hit the snooze button for the first time, he climbs into bed with me. Whether there is room or not. And Tigger growls at him. Ralph snarls back. And we sleep a little while longer.

Fall is coming...I love Fall! I saw this white pumpkin on Sunday at Walmart and decided to blow the 6 bucks for it.

Pudge!
Pudgy is so sweet and pretty! She loves to jump up in your lap while you are watching tv and get some pets.
Happy Thursday!

Morning Glories Part 2

So, after I posted about morning glories on Monday night, I woke up Tuesday morning and saw a rainbow of colors. Apparently, they heard about their post...
This is the view from my kitchen window.

This set of vines still makes a heart shape. And all of the leaves look like hearts.

I love that there were like 5 or 6 different colors of flowers on the morning glories! So so pretty!

I hope you enjoyed my morning glories. I love Fall!
Happy Thursday. At least I think it's Thursday...I'm not sure what day it is this week...
